Oddfellows

One rainy day here in Dallas I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cook so I took my hunger to Oddfellows in Bishop Arts District. I read a few articles bragging about there mac & cheese. So I got the Buffalo mac & cheese. All natural fried chicken covered in there Buffalo sauce on top of mac & cheese. This a great flavor combo. I see why this dish is the talk of the town. I was very please with my food and spotted many more items on the menu that I need to try.

Hattie's

One Sunday me and some friends decided to have a nice dinner at Hattie's located in the Bishop Arts District. One of my friends was familiar with the menu so we followed her lead. First they started us off with the daily choice of bread which was sourdough bread. So for the appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes served with buttermilk ranch dressing. It was real tasty starter. For the man course I ordered the pecan crusted catfish which side dishes include mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The fish was awesome and the potatoes was great. The steam vegetables needed a little something extra to give it some pop. Overall I was very pleased with the presentation of the food and the restaurant.

In-N-Out

After a couple of months of changing my mind and constant debating, I finally went to In-N-Out burger. Every time I pass by the place its always crowded. So I went inside placed my order. I got the cheeseburger, fries, and drink. The burger was good. It had like a homemade or diner taste to it. The fries was so so. I guess I'm hard critic on fries. It lived up to the hype that some people gave it though.

Fuel Town

Recently one of my friends mentioned to me about a place that serve street tacos. The place my friend was talking about is called Fuel Town its located inside a gas station on I35 in Dallas. After checking the menu out I ordered one chicken and one beef taco. Both the chicken and beef was seasoned very well. The beef was very though but the salsa was great. I plan to go back again just to see did I just get a bad batch of beef.  So if you ever in the area check it out and let me know what you think.

Saltgrass "Chicken laredo"

Today I went to saltgrass and tried the new chicken laredo. Its a great juicy boneless chicken breast covered in cheese and grilled vegetables. It came with a loaded bake potato and soup. I truly enjoyed the meal.

Pollo Campero

While out and about in the DFW I came across a place call Pollo Campero. Due to my basic Spanish skills, I knew pollo means chicken. Went in the place and ordered a wing & breast combo. Which included a breast, wing, soda, and choice of side. I wanted to try the yuca fries but I decided to go with the traditional fries. This chicken was real good. It had a very great taste. Only problem the wings are too small (sorry about the bad picture). Other then that I would recommend anyone to try it out.

Del Taco

Last Wednesday after a trip to the store I visited Del Taco. I had been curious about this place for about a year or so but I finally made a stop. I ordered two Macho Tacos, chipotle grilled chicken taco, and a ranch grilled chicken taco (all pictured above). The Macho taco was a typical taco u could find anywhere but the two grilled chicken tacos was awesome. Great taste for great value. They had some other things on the menu I might be interested in trying. So another visit is very likely.

Nanna's Eatery

Few weeks ago I tried a new place in Duncanville call Nanna's Eatery. The place had no customers but I'm always willing to try something new. I had taste for a burger so I order to cheeseburger basket which was $5.99. The burger was very good. Great tasting meat, fresh lettuce & tomatoes, and crispy pickles. The fries was alright. They was little hard. The lady was real friendly who worked in there. I could definitely see myself going back to try other things on the menu.

Bricktown Brewery

My first out of town review. I went to OKC for a Mavericks game and before the game I had a meal at the Bricktown Brewery. Real nice place inside. Friendly wait staff and good food. Above is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Salad. My whole meal was great except for the cornbread and lemonade.

Wings-N-Rings

Wings N Rings is a family own restaurant in Duncanville. They kinda like American grill. They server fish, burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and other great things. Pictured above is a crispy chicken salad. Fresh veggies, shredded cheese, and crispy strips of chicken. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Duncanville area.

Donald Brown Chicken

Donald Brown chicken is a place I had been to several times but due to bad locations they always seem to close. Another one opened a couple months back on Illinois near I35. I got the four wings and rice & gravy. The wings was very crunchy and good. The rice was good but they was very stingy with the gravy. Good food, good service but another terrible location.

Big Bruce's BBQ

For the longest I had been passing by Big Bruce's BBQ and never tried them. I think one reason why I had never been there was because I don't eat everybody BBQ. When I finally tried the place I was not disappointed. They BBQ has great smoked flavor to it rather you have sauce or not. Great ribs, links, and chopped beef. Pictured above is one of there loaded baked potatoes. The picture doesn't do any justice to how huge this potato is. If you ever in the area try this great BBQ place.
