Mattito's

One Sunday I was hungry for some Mexican food so I decided to try Mattito's. After surveying the menu I finally ordered a taco salad. The salad had seasoned Beef served in a crispy flour Taco
Shell with lettuce, guacamole, cheese, refried beans, sour cream and fresh
diced tomato. The salad was so good and its huge.

Beamers Famous Wings

A lot of time I receive emails or tweets for new places that are opening. Beamers Famous Wings was brought to my attention via email. I checked out the menu online to get a idea of what I wanted. The week I decided to go they a special on boneless wings. So I ordered 5 lemon pepper, 5 buffalo, waffle fries, and a huge Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookie. I definitely give this place my approval.

H & J Barbecue

H & J Barbecue was a place I got introduced to by one of my coworkers. They gave this place such  high regards I had to try it out. When looking for the location you gotta pay attention or you might miss it. The place inside is probably the size of a kitchen & dining area in a house. The menu had a lot of great choices but I picked a baked potato with the works (pictured above). You can choose several different BBQ meat options but I choose chopped beef. This might be the biggest and best baked potato I ever had.

Chicken Scratch

Chicken Scratch/The Foundry is one of the most unique concepts for a restaurant. The place is designed almost like a outdoor cookout. The Chicken scratch is the restaurant part and the Foundry is a bar. After doing my research on the place before I got there I knew exactly what to order. I decided on 6 chicken fingers, Green Chile & Hominy Mac N Cheese, Mashed potatoes with fried chicken gravy and homemade biscuits. The chicken has a great taste, the mac N cheese was alright, and the gravy on the mashed potatoes was very delicious. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Chaucer's

Chaucer's is a nice sushi place that's great for happy hour. The inside of the restaurant has a club like atmosphere. Very nice setting. On this night I order some Philadelphia rolls (Smoked salmon, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese) and the Tyson roll (Deep fried chicken strips with cucumber and avocado topped with a spicy mayo sauce). The Philadelphia roll was a good and simple pick but I was really pleased with the Tyson roll originality and great taste. I highly recommend this place. Great daily specials and Happy Hour.

BoomerJack's

BoomerJack's combines two of my favorite things, wings & sports. I had been curious about this place for about a year. So a friend invited me out for a good time. I ordered a 10 wing basket. 5 Cajun wings, 5 lemon pepper wings, and waffle fries. The wings are great, the environment great, and the service is great. If you wanna watch the latest sports events, have ice cold drinks, and finger licking good wings. This is the place to visit.

Texas Roadhouse

After a few suggestions I finally checked out Texas Roadhouse. The waitress started me off with a batch of fresh baked rolls. Which are mouth watering and come with a awesome cinnamon butter. So after a few minutes of deciding, I chose to order fried pickles and a skewer of grill shrimp with garlic lemon pepper butter for appetizer. For the main course I ordered a half slab of ribs, green beans, and seasoned rice (pictured above). The ribs was fall off the bone good. The green beans had a great homemade taste and seasoned rice was worth the selection.

Serious Pizza

I'm huge pizza fan, so when someone told me about Serious Pizza I just had to try it. When I walk in the place it was real pack for Wednesday night. As you look to the left when you walk in you see the staff preparing the pizzas. These pizzas are huge!!!! Before I got there I was debating on 1or 2 slices but after I seen the slices. One would do. I got a slice of pepperoni (pictured above). If you think the box is small, no the slice is just huge. The aroma of the pizza had me devouring my slice in the car. So lets just say I was really pleased. This place is definitely on the visit again list.

Houlihan's

I had heard a lot great things about Houlihan's food and drinks. So one Monday for lunch I decided to dine there. To be honest with you if you want to get the full experience of this place go at dinner time. The lunch menu is good but light on choices. The dinner menu has many more options. So I ordered HUGE PANKO BREADED SHRIMP and fries. Before that arrive I had the chicken tortilla soup which was very great. I will give this place a good rating but have to go back and partake in the other dishes that the dinner menu has to offer.

Zenna Thai & Japanese Restaurant

Located downtown near the West End and Dallas Aquarium is a nice Thai & Japanese place call Zenna. They have a very appealing menu and daily happy hour specials. On this particular occasion I ordered chicken lettuce wraps, California rolls, and beef & shrimp drunken noodles. I know that's a lot to order but I was hungry lol. The food was awesome. If you stay in the DFW area check out one of Zenna's locations.

Maple and Motor Burgers & Beer

One of my favorite shows to watch is Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. On one episode he visited this place in Dallas call Maple and Motor Burgers & Beers. I went and ordered a cheese burger and a side of tater tots. The burger was pretty juicy but I had burgers from  few other places that was better. The tater tots was very good. They kinda remind me of the tots they use to serve in elementary school. If you ever in that area its a good place for a old fashion burger & beer

NY Pizza Palace

On one of my weekend travels in the DFW I stumbled across this small pizza place in Addison. NY Pizza Palace is located in small shopping center on Arapaho across from Walmart. I decided on two slices of pepperoni & sausage and a drink. Which was $4.99 with tax. I was very pleased with my two slices.

Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge

One Friday night, Me and a friend traveled to Plano to try out Steve Fields Steak & Lobster lounge. I'm huge fun of  steak and seafood so I was excited to try this place out. .  The waiter starts you off with a nice dinner wine or other beverage. After a few minutes of looking at the menu I decided on the Fried & grilled shrimp with a side of smoked cheddar mac & cheese. My friend ordered the Stuffed Lobster Fields. It was 1.5 pound lobster stuffed with crawfish, shrimp, lobster, and mushroom with a side of steam vegetables. Both dishes was very delicious and I was very pleased with the service. Another visit is definitely in the works for me so I can try out the steaks. If you going to Steve Fields on the weekends reservations are definitely needed. The atmosphere of this place is very nice. Great place for date night. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
